Minnesota Timberwolves news: Usually, it’s the players who suffer injuries during games. This was not the case on Sunday in Game 4 between the Wolves and the Phoenix Suns after Minnesota head coach Chris Finch was helped off the floor after a freak accident deep in the fourth quarter.

Minnesota Timberwolves News: Chris Finch Suffers Injury After Nasty Collision With Mike Conley

Suns star Devin Booker shoved Timberwolves guard Mike Conley off the court in the final couple of minutes of Game 4. Unfortunately, Finch was standing right in front of Conley, and the veteran guard ended up crashing into his head coach:

Finch was down on the floor for quite a bit before he got back to his feet. The 54-year-old was clearly struggling, though, and he had to be helped by two members of the coaching staff as they headed back to the locker room.

The incident went down at a crucial juncture in the final frame as the Wolves looked to end the series by defeating the Suns for a fourth time in four games.

We should get an update on Finch’s status after the game. Hopefully, the fourth-year head coach will be fine after this unfortunate knock. It goes without saying that Minnesota will need him as they look to carry on with their championship aspirations in what has been nothing short of an amazing campaign.

UPDATE: The Wolves have successfully swept the Suns after their 122-116 victory in Game 4.
