NBA Props for Tuesday Jan. 9: Let's GO with OG

Bit of a weird night in the NBA last night. The Indiana Pacers win, even though Tyrese Haliburton left early, while the Milwaukee Bucks lost at home and the Phoenix Suns were noncompetitive, losing by 27 against the Clippers. Although, maybe that last one is a new norm (prove me wrong, Phoenix).

We posted a 1-3 record as DeMar DeRozan could not get his point up, even with a little extra time to work with. I can now officially add Chicago to a list of teams I just have no feel for, so at least there is that.

Tonight is a relatively quiet night in the NBA with just five games. Minnesota vs. Orlando is the headliner, that can't be right, can it?

NBA Props for Tuesday, Jan. 9

Anthony Edwards Under 28.5 Points (+115) Alt Line

There is no doubt Edwards is one of the new stars of the game and on a heater of late, averaging better than 30 ppg over his last 10 games. He is still averaging lower than this line for the season though, so I was surprised his number is set so high tonight against a competent Orlando team. Also, on the road his numbers are down, just 25 ppg away from the Target Center.

Immanuel Quickley 20+ Points (+115) Alt Line

I know ... I copycatted myself. Quickley cashed on this prop for us recently and twice in four games as a Raptor. He has quickly become a prominent feature in Toronto's new offense and I think he can have success against a Los Angeles team that does not have much of a defensive presence at the point guard position. His floater game is exactly what you need against the Lakers' length too.

Cam Reddish Over 2.5 Rebounds (+105)

Reddish is getting some regular run this season and I like him in a defensive role tonight. Even with OG Anunoby traded away the Raptors are strong on the wing and this creates a chance for Reddish to see a minutes spike. He has cashed this total in two of his last four games and given seasonal averages this should probably be more like -105/+100.

OG Anunoby Over 1.5 Steals (+135)

Anunoby has not played less than 31 minutes in any game since joining New York. They are expected to dominate tonight but I still think there is good value here. He has at least one steal in every game as a Knick and twice cashed this over in four games. Portland is fourth from the bottom in turnover rate for the season at more than 15 per game and in the last three games they have been at 17. Great value here and no alt line is required.
