Coming off a first-round exit at the hands of the Milwaukee Bucks, the Miami Heat are a team looking to re-tool their roster this offseason.

One potential target for the franchise? New Orleans star Brandon Ingram, whose fit alongside Zion is growing in doubt.

“A potential Heat target in trade this offseason would be one Brandon Ingram, who recently signed a contract extension, last year’s Most Improved Player and a player who had issues with Stan [Van Gundy], and also I have heard doesn’t feel he’s a long-term fit with Zion [Williamson],” said Ethan Skolnick. “I’ve heard this from a couple of different people. Not that there’s a personality conflict, but it’s just not the best possible fit.”

Ingram isn't necessarily a superstar-level player, but he is a guy that could help Miami make a return to the NBA Finals.

A 1x All-Star and 2020 Most Improved Player, he averaged 23.8 points per game on 46% shooting for the Pelicans this season.

In Miami, alongside Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo, he could be the piece they need to get over the hump. A proven scorer and quality shooter, his offensive skill set could be a good fit on that roster.

Nonetheless, Miami will have to give something up to get him, and it remains to be seen if they'll be willing to pay the price.
