Nets' Michael Beasley has left NBA bubble after positive coronavirus test

The Brooklyn Nets may have lost another option for the NBA restart.

On Tuesday, ESPN's Malika Andrews and Tim Bontemps reported that Brooklyn forward Michael Beasley has left the NBA bubble site at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Florida.

Additionally, The Athletic's Shams Charania tweeted that Beasley tested positive for the coronavirus in Orlando:

Beasley's status for the 22-team model to crown a 2019-20 champion amid the worsening coronavirus pandemic is unknown.

The Nets added the 31-year-old after Spencer Dinwiddie, DeAndre Jordan, and Taurean Prince tested positive for the coronavirus and opted-out of participating before the Nets flew to Orlando. Superstars Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant aren't playing as they rehabilitate from prior injury setbacks. Nicolas Claxton underwent successful shoulder surgery in June.

Wilson Chandler elected to skip the restart for family reasons.

Beasley last featured for the Los Angeles Lakers during the 2018-19 campaign. He made 26 appearances and averaged 7.0 PPG, 2.3 REB, and 1.0 AST.
