Things are not doing so well for the New York Knicks . Apart from seeing their two-game lead in the second round against the Indiana Pacers evaporate after back-to-back losses in Games 3 and 4, the Knicks are also still without the services of one of their most important players in the form of OG Anunoby.

New York Knicks are Struggling Without One of Their Best Weapons

The former Indiana Hoosiers star missed Game 4 on Sunday with a left hamstring strain, one that he suffered in Game 2. It is perhaps no coincidence that the Knicks lost both games he missed thus far in the second round. His impact on the floor for New York was greatly missed by his team in Games 3 and 4 in which the Knicks lost by a total margin of 37 points.

Anunoby has proven to be a vital part of the Knicks since they acquired him via a trade with the Toronto Raptors back in December.

Via Covers:

OG Anunoby = Wins

– Raptors w/ OG: 11-16
– Knicks w/ OG: 26-5
– Combined: 37-21

– Raptors w/o OG: 14-41
– Knicks w/o OG: 13-16
– Combined: 27-57

There is no assurance that Anunoby will be able to make it back to action in Game 5 at the Big Apple this coming Tuesday. With the Knicks already missing the likes of Mitchell Robinson, Julius Randle, and Bojan Bogdanovic, another absence by Anunoby would put the Knicks in another tough spot in such an important game.
