Pistons trade PF Jerami Grant to Trail Blazers for 2025 first-round pick

Detroit Pistons power forward Jerami Grant is reportedly on the move.

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Pistons have traded Grant to the Portland Trail Blazers for a 2025 first-round pick.

The 2025 first-round pick heading to Detroit comes via the Milwaukee Bucks and is top-four-protected. Wojnarowski broke down the other draft-pick swaps:

Wojnarowski added the deal sends Grant into a $21 million trade exception, increasing the Pistons' cap space availability to $43 million.

Grant has one year remaining on a three-year, $60 million contract. The 28-year-old is reportedly seeking a contract extension in the four-year, $112 million range.

Last season for the Pistons, Grant averaged 19.2 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.0 blocks in 47 games. He shot 42% from the field and 35% from three, averaging 31.9 minutes per game.

In three seasons with the Pistons, Grant averaged 17.2 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.0 blocks, playing in 172 games.
