Police in Indianapolis are investigating Milwaukee Bucks guard Patrick Beverley for potential crimes after an incident involving a fan, according to a report.

The Athletic’s Mike Vorkunov and Shams Charania reported on Wednesday that detectives are planning to review video footage and interview involved parties regarding last week's skirmish.

Beverley was captured on video throwing a ball hard at a Pacers fan who was sitting near Milwaukee's bench during Game 6 of its first-round playoff series. Beverley was frustrated in large part because his Bucks had been blown out 120-98 in the game, which ended their season.

A report later revealed what the fan had said to anger Beverley. He recently claimed on his podcast that the fan said a lot worse than just that.

The NBA has not yet announced any discipline for Beverley over the incident, which even he described as “inexcusable.”
