Rare Michael Jordan game-worn modified sneakers could sell for over $500K

Michael Jordan memorabilia has been highly sought-after since "The Last Dance" aired on ESPN, and now yet another special pair of Air Jordan's are being put up for auction.

The Chicago Bulls legend wore a modified pair of Air Jordan 1s to support his left foot after breaking it during the third game of the 1985-86 season and as a result, was sidelined for six weeks. The modified sneakers feature an added strap to provide extra stability for Jordan's left foot and could reportedly sell for up to $500,000, according to TMZ.

The pair up for auction was worn on March 29, 1986 when Jordan scored 24 points in 23 minutes against the New York Knicks, TMZ adds. Following the game, Jordan signed and gave the shoes to a young fan who has held on to them for 34 years. The auction will take place in July.

Other memorabilia that has sold for an absurd amount of money includes a ticket stub from Jordan's regular-season debut that sold for $25,000, an autographed rookie trading card that sold for $125,000 on eBay and a pair of Jordan's first-ever game-worn Air Jordan 1's that sold for $560,000.
