Reggie Jackson's departure from the LA Clippers will always be remembered as an emotional one. Jackson was a fan favorite, and remembered for hitting so many big shots that he was given the nickname "Big Government."

Jackson had remained quiet about the trade, only posting photos with brief captions, until now. On Thursday night, Jackson went on Twitter to finally give his emotional farewell to Clipper fans.

"1 whole week and still hard to stomach," Jackson said on Twitter. "Quite the ride we had. Many memories made: the ups, the downs, the smiles, the laughs, the tears. @LAClippers , #ClipNation THANK YOU from the deepest depths of my heart: for accepting me wholeheartedly, for the support each and every single day. I could never have imagined the experience I would have, the bonds that would be created, many years back when arriving in LA. #ClipperNation will forever hold a special place in my heart. Best wishes always #LoveAlways #ThankYou"

Regardless of how Reggie Jackson's Clipper tenure ended, he should always be remembered as one of the key players that helped get the franchise to its first Conference Finals in franchise history. Without Reggie Jackson, there is no epic 25-point comeback against the Utah Jazz in Game 6.

The Clippers start a new chapter with Bones Hyland as their backup point guard, while Reggie Jackson starts a new chapter as the Denver Nuggets' backup point guard.
