Alize Johnson is coming off a season where he played in four games for the San Antonio Spurs and averaged 1.8 points and 2.5 rebounds per contest while shooting 50.0% from the field.
In December, he was waived, and this summer, he remained a free agent available to be signed by any team in the league.
However, the 27-year-old has signed with Jeonju KCC Egis (a team in South Korea) for next season (h/t Alberto De Roa of HoopsHype).
Via Wyatt Wheeler of News-Leader: "Jeonju KCC Egis of the Korean Basketball League announced on Instagram that it has signed former Missouri State star Alize Johnson.
He'll reportedly make $450k per year. His first stint overseas. He had private workouts with the Knicks and Celtics in Vegas last month."
In addition to the Spurs, Johnson (who was the 50th pick in the 2018 NBA Draft) has also spent time with the Indiana Pacers, Chicago Bulls, Brooklyn Nets, New Orleans Pelicans and Washington Wizards over his five seasons.
His career averages are 2.5 points and 3.0 rebounds per contest while shooting 48.1% from the field in 76 regular season games (he has also appeared in six NBA playoff games).
Last year, Johnson played in 22 G League regular season games and had averages of 15.5 points, 12.5 rebounds and 3.9 assists per contest while shooting 60.5% from the field (he also appeared in nine Showcase Cup games).
As for the Spurs, they are coming off a year where they went 22-60 and missed the postseason.
