Every now and then, the Philadelphia 76ers are graced with the presence of their Hall of Fame legend Allen Iverson when they take on opponents at the Wells Fargo Center in South Philly.

On Saturday night, the team got a boost from the former superstar guard on the road, as Iverson was in attendance for the Sixers’ battle against the Charlotte Hornets.

Sitting courtside at the Spectrum Center, Iverson took in the sights and sounds of some Saturday night basketball, getting the opportunity to watch his former team snag another victory.

The 76ers entered Saturday night’s game on a hot streak. Although their schedule’s strength has been on the weaker side lately, as they’ve faced the Eastern Conference bottom two seeds this week, Philly has been taking care of business as expected.

They faced a similar situation with the Hornets on Saturday. Just above the Detroit Pistons and the Washington Wizards place the Hornets, who hold a 7-17 record for the year. Prior to hosting the Sixers, the Hornets lost their previous three matchups.

The 76ers waltzed into Charlotte and handed the Hornets their fourth-straight defeat. Meanwhile, the Sixers collected their sixth-straight win in dominant fashion.

Never letting go of the lead at any point throughout the night, the Sixers continued punching down on the Hornets, even after they gave their key players an early night off. In the end, the Sixers secured a 53-point win, advancing to 18-7 on the year.

Iverson doesn’t always get to see his former team up close, but he picked a great night to check them out in person as the 76ers continued rolling.
