Son of another NBA great will be joining Bronny James at USC

USC is getting another big name to its basketball roster for the 2023 season.

DJ Rodman, the son of NBA Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman, is reportedly transferring to USC after spending the past four years at Washington State.

That report comes via On3Sports on Tuesday. He had an official visit with USC on Monday night after entering the NCAA transfer portal.

Rodman averaged 9.6 points and 5.8 rebounds per game this past season, which was his best season at Washington State. The 2023-24 season will be his final year of NCAA eligibility.

He will use that year to join a USC team that has already hit a couple of home runs with its 2023 recruiting class, landing five-star recruits Isaiah Collier and Bronny James.

Bronny, of course, is the son of NBA superstar LeBron James.

USC lost a couple of forwards when Drew Peterson graduated and Tre White transferred to Louisville.

The Trojans have qualified for the NCAA Tournament in each of the past three years, but have lost in the first round in each of the past two years. They reached the regional final during the 2020-21 season.

With a top transfer in Rodman, as well as two major recruits, expectations are going to be sky-high for the Trojans this season. Especially with a couple of players named James and Rodman on their roster attracting eyeballs every single game.
