The San Antonio Spurs will likely already have a major presence at 2024 NBA All-Star Weekend in Indianapolis with rookie star Victor Wembanyama expected to be announced as an All-Star reserve for the Western Conference on Thursday.

On a team that’s currently 10-36 ahead of tonight’s matchup against the Washington Wizards, Wemby appeared to be all there was to write home about in regards to All-Star festivities for San Antonio, but the presence of the G League's Up Next Game is allowing the Spurs to be represented in Indy by an unlikely face.

The G League announced its 28-player pool for the Next Up Game, and Spurs second-year forward Dominick Barlow made the cut. Barlow, who went undrafted last year before surprisingly playing in 20 games as a rookie with the Spurs, has spent tons of time with San Antonio's G League affiliate, the Austin Spurs.

In the NBA this season, Barlow has played in 28 games while averaging 3.9 points and 3.6 rebounds in 14.6 minutes per night. But in 18 games with the G League this year, he's posting 16.1 points, 8.4 rebounds and 1.7 assists per contest.

Other notable players set to play in the Next Up Game include Kenneth Lofton Jr., Darius Bazley, Markquis Nowell, Ron Holland, and former Spurs draft pick Quinndary Weatherspoon, among many others.

The game will be played on Sunday, Feb. 18 at 1:30 p.m. ET prior to the 2024 NBA All-Star Game, which tips at 8 p.m. ET from Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
