The Suns have landed standout guard Bradley Beal in a trade agreement with the Wizards, but they may not stop there.

Per Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Suns have received calls on center Deandre Ayton since the news about Beal broke.

“We’ll see if he’s going to be there,” Charania said of Ayton on the Pat McAfee Show, via RealGM. “I do think one thing that has happened since this trade is Phoenix has been getting a lot of calls on Deandre Ayton in the last 12 to 18 hours.

“Teams are seeing if now Deandre Ayton is a little bit more attainable. We’ll see if he’s back on the team next year.”

Prior to the Beal deal, the Suns were finding not many takers for Ayton, Charania noted. Now, however, the market appears to be picking up.

Ayton is entering the second season of a four-year, $133 million contract he signed with the Pacers last summer, only for the Suns to match.

As it stands, Phoenix will have four players on max contracts next season, basically bringing any other possible roster moves to a halt under the updated CBA. Along with Ayton and Beal, forward Kevin Durant and shooting guard Devin Booker are on max deals.
