In case you missed it, before the Suns’ meeting with the Pistons on Wednesday night, center Drew Eubanks was punched in the face by Isaiah Stewart.

While Stewart, who was later arrested for assault, did not end up playing, Eubanks did, logging 18 minutes where he scored 6 points and grabbed 6 rebounds.

Now, further information has emerged regarding the punch. According to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, Eubanks barely flinched.

Shams announced, “I’m told Drew Eubanks was punched in the mouth area, and from what I’m told, the footage will show it. (Drew) barely flinched. He stood there stone cold.”

What led up to this altercation remains unknown. Before last night, there was no public knowledge of any drama between Eubanks and Stewart.

The Phoenix Suns released a statement on the matter: “The attack on Drew Eubanks was unprovoked, and acts of violence such as this are unacceptable. We unequivocally support Drew, and will continue to work with local law enforcement and the NBA.”

Stay tuned for further updates as footage of the punch is expected to be released.
