According to The Athletic's Shams Charania, the Boston Celtics have waived forward Jabari Parker

The report from Chariana can be seen in a Tweet that is embedded below.

Parker signed with the Celtics last season after playing three games for the Sacramento Kings

In ten regular season games with Boston, he averaged 6.4 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game.

The former high school superstar was the second overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft after playing one season at Duke.

During his third season in the NBA he averaged over 20 points and six rebounds per game on the Milwaukee Bucks (the team who drafted him).

However, the 26-year-old has dealt with several ACL tears during his career.

Over his seven-year pro career he has played for the Bucks, Celtics, Kings, Chicago Bulls, Atlanta Hawks and Washington Wizards.

He has career averages of 14.5 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game.

Parker could definitely help a team off the bench in the scoring and rebounding department.
