The jump shot is one of the most important parts of winning in the NBA.

Without the jump shot, many teams wouldn’t be able to make clutch plays and claim victories.

But nailing a jump shot is easier said than done, especially with a league full of great defenders.

Every team tries to sink jump shots but not everyone can do it.

One team does it better than all others, however.

Kirk Goldsberry dug into the numbers and put together a list of all NBA teams and their jump-shooting ability.

The worst jump shots in the league come from the Los Angeles Lakers, with 0.91 points per jump shot.

Meanwhile, the Boston Celtics are at the front of the league with 1.18 points per jump shot.

This is just one of the many, many secret weapons the Celtics currently have.

No wonder they are considered the team to beat.

Showing Up For Jump Shots

The Celtics are the best team in the East with a strong 17-4 record.

They have become an offensive powerhouse, sinking shots from all over the court in a variety of ways.

It’s not a bit shocking to see them ahead of all others when it comes to jump shots.

It is surprising to see the Brooklyn Nets in second place, although there is a big gap between the Celtics and them.

It is also surprising to see the Phoenix Suns far behind both of those teams, despite the fact that Phoenix is the top team in the West.

Jump shots will continue to be important in the months ahead, especially as the season heats up and the postseason approaches.

The Celtics have gotten off to a wildly successful start and there is no reason to believe they won’t keep it up.
