Oklahoma City Thunder forward Jack White may not be earning top dollar this season, but he's certainly committed.

During the Thunder's annual media day — most of which was focused on the "new" Oklahoma City core featuring Chet Holmgren — White got a chance to speak on his expected role this season, among other things.

And when asked about his commitment level to his new team, he kept it simple:

"Whatever I can do to help my team win, I'm going to do."

Last season with Nikola Jokic's Nuggets, White averaged 1.2 points and one rebound in just around four minutes per game and only 17 games played. His role was minimal, if that, but that doesn't mean his potential is.

With the G League, the forward averaged 20.9 points, 9.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists on 54 percent shooting from the field. And now that he's surrounded by other young talent, his role could be increased, and it's safe to say he likes that.

"I love the culture of the team," White said. "How they go about things. The direction we're headed in the future. I'm a big fan of the potential this team has."

And if an increased role with a team focused on youth development wasn't enough, playing alongside another Australian certainly might be, as White is a former teammate and admirer of Thunder star Josh Giddey.

"Josh is definitely a big deal in Australia," White said. "He was on the cover of GQ. Kids love him. What he does and how he carries himself is huge for Australian basketball."

Giddey had himself a season this summer with the Boomers, and will look to continue that run with the Thunder in just a few weeks. But so will White, and if there were any questions regarding his commitment and excitement, those have been addressed.
