When the Houston Rockets began their two-game series against the Memphis Grizzlies on March 22, former coach Stephen Silas said he was "hopeful" for All-Star point guard Ja Morant.

Morant had returned from a lengthy suspension for conduct detrimental to the NBA. He spent a few days in a Florida counseling facility after flashing a handgun on social media from a strip club in Denver on March 4.

But two months after his return, Morant finds himself in trouble again. The Grizzlies have suspended Morant from all team activities after a video showed the star displaying a gun on social media Saturday night. ESPN was the first to report Morant's latest incident, while the league will review the affair.

"We are aware of the social media post involving Ja Morant and are in the process of gathering more information," NBA spokesperson Mike Bass said in a statement Sunday.

Morant has found himself in several unfortunate circumstances over the past year. He is currently in the middle of a lawsuit after he allegedly punched a high school student during a pick-up game last off-season. In January, Morant's associates got into an altercation with the Indiana Pacers following a Grizzlies' victory.

In his first game back following the eight-game suspension, Morant recorded 17 points (6-13 FG, 5-6 FT), five assists, a pair of steals and a block to help the Grizzlies take a 130-125 victory over the Rockets.

Following the Grizzlies' embarrassing playoff loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, Morant said he needed to be more disciplined with his off-court actions.
