Sacramento Kings guard De’Aaron Fox continues to excel as an NBA sophomore.

His brilliant play had previously led the long-downtrodden Kings into playoff contention prior to some recent team-wide struggles.

Even then, Fox is showing himself to be a legitimate franchise cornerstone. The Dallas Mavericks found that out early and often during an otherwise meaningless Western Conference game in California’s capital city Thursday evening.

In fact, Fox was dunking all over the Mavs. The first one came virtue of a steal that ultimately saw Fox throw down a reverse jam — bringing Kings fans to their feet.

If that weren’t enough, Fox used a beautiful crossover move to fool multiple Mavericks defenders before flushing it home.

He legitimately almost brought down Golden 1 Center with that dunk.

Sacramento might not break its playoff drought this season. That’s unfortunate. But with the likes of Marvin Bagley, Buddy Hield and Fox, things are looking up for the Kings.
