Watch: Rockets' Jalen Green stars in perhaps the craziest commercial of all time

Houston Rockets guard Jalen Green has just made NBA history -- for starring in perhaps the craziest, wackiest commercial of all time.

The 2021 second overall pick is having a fine second season, improving from his rookie campaign in points (22.0), rebounds (3.8) and assists (3.6) per game (among other categories) across 70 contests, while posting a similar .415/.337/.795 shooting line. Green leads all Rockets players in scoring and minutes per game.

While the 21-year-old is having a big year and the team has a potentially bright future with Green and 2022 third overall pick Jabari Smith Jr. leading the way, Houston has endured a rough 2022-2023 season. They have the worst record in the Western Conference (18-58) and are the second-worst record team in the NBA with six games left.

Off the court, this "Hoop Head" venture is sure to cause some controversy. While some may find the advertisement entertaining and funny, there will undoubtedly be some that find it insane, if not offensive.

There have been no indications yet that the 60-second spot is in fact a "Saturday Night Live" sketch, or a bizarre, early April's Fools Day prank. Green is undoubtedly going to get plenty of backlash for the commercial, which seemingly centers around death, decapitation and children playing basketball.

In case fans are interested in purchasing the beverage, an 8-pack of 19.2 oz king-size cans for "Liquid Death Mountain Water" is currently going for $12.99 on Amazon.
