“Make Me Like Mike!” Those were the words that were uttered by every kid growing up in the 90’s as they played the game they loved, Basketball! Michael Jordan was a Legend and an Icon. He was the player everyone wanted to model their game after. He was and still is the player many believe to be the G.O.A.T. - the greatest of All-Time.

While many believe Jordan is the G.O.A.T., others feel as if Lebron James is. When they step on to the court, they say it’s “Bron Time” which refers to a moment of dominance. While Lebron James or Michael Jordan may have been your G.O.A.T. or even favorite player growing up, Wizards Guard Landry Shamet had his own player of choice.

Another former Chicago Bull has entered into the conversation, Derrick Rose. If it wasn’t for the injury Rose suffered, he could arguably be in this G.O.A.T, conversation because D Rose and the Bulls were going places.

Derrick Rose was special. He was so athletic, strong, and agile. That quick first step was so fast, if you blink he would slip right past you. He would dunk on you too! You would think he would take the easy layup. No, Rose wanted more and would embarrass his defenders. He had a nice mid range shot as well. That mid range is what helped him become even more dangerous at attacking the basket and scoring at the rim. D Rose is a one time League MVP, Rookie of the Year, and three time NBA Allstar. Derrick Rose is the NBA’s greatest what if story. If only he could have stayed healthy, perhaps he would be in more of the favorite player growing up conversation as well as G.O.A.T. convos too.
