The Denver Nuggets are facing the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday night, and they will likely have to deal with star forward Zion Williamson. The Pelicans have released their injury report for this game, and Williamson is being listed as probable, meaning he will likely play.

Williamson has been dealing with a right quad contusion, but played in the Pelicans' blowout win over the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday. Prior to that game, Williamson did sit out when the Pelicans defeated the Sacramento Kings, but he has mostly been available this season.

Health has of course been the biggest story for Williamson throughout his career, as he has played just 145 games since being drafted first overall in the 2019 NBA Draft. That said, Williamson has been incredible when healthy, and the Pelicans are hoping he can avoid any extended absences this season.

New Orleans enters this game as the 6th seed in the Western Conference. Just 3.5 games separate the 1st seed and the 6th seed, so there could be a lot of shuffling in the standings between now and the end of the season. The Nuggets are just two games better than the Pelicans in the loss column, which makes this an important game.

The Pelicans and Nuggets will face off at 7:00 PM PST in a nationally televised showdown on Friday night.
