The San Francisco 49ers have announced two roster moves ahead of Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Wide receiver Chris Conley and safety Erik Harris have both been promoted to the active roster from the team's practice squad. Both are standard elevations, meaning they will be promoted for the game against the Eagles, and then revert to the practice squad.

Conley, who will wear number 84, is being elevated for the third time this season. A player can only be promoted to the active roster, from the practice squad, three times during the season. After the third elevation, the team can only sign the player to the active roster. Otherwise, he will stay on the practice squad for the duration of the season.

Conley is in his ninth NFL season. He played earlier this season against the New York Giants and Minnesota Vikings. He was not targeted in either game.

The 49ers signed Harris to the practice squad on Monday. Since losing George Odom for the season in Seattle, the team needed to add another safety. Although second-year safety, Tayler Hawkins, was already on the practice squad, the 49ers instead chose to elevate the veteran Harris.

Harris has played in 91 games during his seven-year career, recording five interceptions, two touchdowns, and one forced fumble. He spent the past two seasons with the Atlanta Falcons. Harris will wear number 35 for the 49ers.

On Monday, the 49ers activated DE Robert Beal Jr. from injured reserve after placing Odum on injured reserve.
