Agent takes victory lap after finalizing massive Quinnen Williams deal

Around this time last year, not many knew who Nicole Lynn was.

But now, Lynn, the president of football operations for Klutch Sports Group, is making quite a name for herself as a premier sports agent after landing defensive tackle Quinnen Williams a four-year, $96M contract with the New York Jets on Thursday that includes $66M guaranteed.

And much like she did after Hurts signed his deal, Lynn took another victory lap on Thursday after Williams agreed to his.

Lynn became the first Black woman to represent an NFL draft pick when the Jets took Williams third overall. Now, she’s negotiated two of the richest contracts in NFL history for Williams and Jalen Hurts, who signed a then-record setting five-year, $255M contract with the Philadelphia Eagles in April. She also negotiated Hurts the first no-trade clause in Eagles history.

Lynn has now negotiated two deals of $95M or more and both include at least $65M in guaranteed money.

The 25-year-old Williams is now the second-highest paid defensive tackle in the NFL behind Aaron Donald of the Los Angeles Rams ($31.66M per year), and he has the largest contract among interior defensive linemen in terms of total value — $1M ahead of Donald and $2M ahead of Jeffery Simmons, who signed a four-year, $94M contract with the Tennessee Titans earlier in the offseason.

Williams posted a career-high 12 sacks last season while being named a first-team All-Pro and making his first Pro Bowl. He led the Jets in sacks and pressures (52), and ranked second on the team in hurries (33) and QB hits (14).
