Derrick Henry enjoyed eight years with the Tennessee Titans as a former second-round pick of the 2016 NFL Draft.

He recorded five 1,000+ yard rushing seasons and became one of eight running backs in National Football League history to account for a 2,000-yard season (2,027 in 2020). Henry, a native Floridian, is a two-time NFL rushing champion, a four-time NFL Pro Bowl selection, a first-team All-Pro selection (2020), and the NFL’s Offensive Player of the Year honoree in 2020.

He posted 9,502 career rushing yards and 90 touchdowns in 119 games.

The 30-year-old gave Tennessee all he had, but is it time for a Super Bowl contender to look at him? Shaun Alexander, a former NFL running back, believes so. He, like Henry, was a high school star and an Alabama football legend. Alexander was an All-American for the Crimson Tide, but he also turned in a strong professional career. He is a close friend to Henry and wants the best for him. Alexander was featured on the Up & Adams Show with Kay Adams. He brought up on team in particular he would love to see Henry with. After eight seasons in the AFC South, Alexander would like to see Henry take to the AFC North.

“I don’t know, I have not even thought about it yet,” Alexander said about the next move for Henry.

“I want him to go somewhere where he can win a championship. When you love someone, you want them to have the one thing you don’t have. I want him to have that. If the Ravens run the ball I would not be scared of him going to Baltimore.”

Alexander wants Henry to be a Raven. If Baltimore were to make the move, it would mean everything for Lamar Jackson.

Henry would take pressure off him in the running game. We don’t know what Henry’s move will be, but Baltimore is interesting.
