Antonio Brown loses $120K bet against the Buccaneers

It's Antonio Brown vs. the Tampa Bay Buccaneers all over again, and the aftermath is hitting Brown's bank account.

A few years ago, Brown was suiting up for the Bucs on Sundays. Now, the embattled former wide receiver is placing bets against his former team — and losing big.

The Spun reported on Monday that Brown placed a significant bet on the Minnesota Vikings to beat the Buccaneers in their Week 1 showdown. The Vikings — whom Brown previously tried to woo into signing him — were defeated by Baker Mayfield and the Bucs 20-17, and Brown reportedly lost $120K.

Brown still hasn't played in an NFL game since he tore off his Buccaneers jersey and ran off the field midgame in January 2022.

Following his long and very public split from the Bucs, he has spent more time getting into trouble than making a professional comeback.

His antics have ranged from holding up in his house so police couldn't arrest him to flashing his rear end at a hotel pool. More recently, Brown took off his pants and threw them at someone with a camera, only to realize afterward that he had left his phone in the pocket.

As for the Buccaneers, they looked confident with Mayfield at the helm on Sunday as he threw for 173 yards and scored two touchdowns.

They will now prepare to host Justin Fields and the Chicago Bears in Week 2, and DraftKings has them listed as the three-point favorites as of Monday.

Just don't tell Antonio Brown. He might be tempted to place another costly wager.
