Bears fear that RB Tarik Cohen suffered torn ACL vs. Falcons

The Chicago Bears managed to upset the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, but unfortunately, they lost running back Tarik Cohen in the 30-26 win.

Cohen was carted from the sideline to the locker room during the fourth quarter. He was fielding a punt return when the Falcons' Brian Hill was pushed into his lower right leg.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Bears fear that Cohen tore his ACL. Further tests will confirm the injury.

The 25-year-old had two carries for 21 yards and three catches for 20 more against the Falcons.

Cohen received a three-year contract extension last week worth $17.25 million, joking that he left money on the table so the Bears could sign receiver Allen Robinson.

If Cohen misses the remainder of the season, he'll join a laundry list of players who have suffered torn ACLs this season, including San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa and New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley.

Chicago will rely on David Montgomery, who had 14 carries for 45 yards in Sunday's win, and Ryan Nall for the remainder of the season if Cohen is done.
