Chicago Bears' CEO and President Kevin Warren stands poised to drive the organization into uncharted waters with more autonomy than his predecessor, Ted Phillips, never possessed. Warren has the reins of football operations firmly in his hands, and pivotal decisions regarding the future of the coaching staff and quarterback position could reshape the franchise.

Diana Russini of The Athletic appeared on "The Herd with Colin Cowherd" and revealed the depth of Warren's involvement, noting his contemplative approach to crucial decisions.

"He's taking the time to examine every aspect — from the quarterback and coaching positions, aiming to make calculated, unemotional decisions about the future of the Bears," Russini said.

Warren is involved in the team's future stadium projects and football operations with a newly transferred level of power. General manager Ryan Poles and chairman George McCaskey, while still influential, now defer to Warren on the strategic direction the Bears will take.

The implications of Warren's control have sent ripples throughout the organization. Head coach Matt Eberflus and quarterback Justin Fields find their futures at Halas Hall in question. According to Russini, the Bears could potentially re-enter the quarterback market and seek a new head coach. Despite Poles' support for Eberflus and a commitment to Fields, change could be imminent, and it would mark the start of a fresh trajectory for the team.

Bears fans and the NFL world will be keeping an eye on Warren and what he ultimately decides to do with the organization's critical positions. How he handles the situation will likely define his tenure and the Bears' future on the gridiron.
