The Buffalo Bills and veteran linebacker Von Miller have come to a mutual agreement on how to approach their future together.

The Bills continued their salary cap-clearing rampage on Wednesday by agreeing to a renegotiated contract with Miller, per reports from ESPN’s Field Yates, who says that Buffalo will clear about $8.6 million in cap space with the move. Miler will have the chance to reprove his worth and has some new contract incentives if he does so.

“The Bills and pass rusher Von Miller agreed to a renegotiated contract, per source,” Yates tweeted. “The deal has a base value of $8.855M in 2024, with the chance to make up to $20M with incentives (up from $17.5M under the old terms). The move saves Buffalo $8.645M in 2024 salary cap space.”

Miller signed a six-year, $120 million contract in March 2022 after being traded from the Los Angeles Rams in 2021. However, he tore his ACL in Nov. 2022 and was never the same upon returning this past season.

In 12 games this season, Miller posted just three total tackles.
