Broncos QB Teddy Bridgewater limited in practice, could play vs. Steelers

"Teddy Two Gloves" isn't all the way back, but it looks like the Denver Broncos will have their starting quarterback in the lineup for Sunday's showdown with the 1-3 Pittsburgh Steelers.

Per Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk, Denver's Teddy Bridgewater returned to practice Thursday but in a limited fashion as he continues to work toward clearing the concussion protocol following the nasty hit he endured in this past Sunday's 23-7 loss to the Baltimore Ravens that dropped the Broncos to 3-1 on the season.

Sporting News' Jackson Sparks added the Broncos "hope" Bridgewater will clear the protocol on Friday. Former Denver starter Drew Lock replaced the injured Bridgewater against Baltimore but will return to the bench if Denver's QB1 is good to go by Sunday afternoon.

Bridgewater was a steady hand in helping the Broncos win their first three contests of the campaign. Per ESPN stats, he's seventh in the NFL among eligible quarterbacks with a 110.6 passer rating and fifth with a 65.6 total QBR. Thus far, the 28-year-old has completed 72.1% of his passes for 892 yards with five touchdowns and zero interceptions.
