Broncos work out two-time Pro Bowl TE Kyle Rudolph

Two-time Pro Bowl tight end Kyle Rudolph had a workout with the Denver Broncos on Friday, according to Fox Sports' Jay Glazer.

After ten years with the Minnesota Vikings, the 32-year-old Rudolph signed a two-year, $12 million contract with the New York Giants ahead of last season. In his final season in Minnesota, Rudolph caught just 28 passes, the lowest since 2014, when he played in just nine games. Rudolph followed that performance with another down year in 2021 for the Giants. In 16 games last season, Rudolph posted 26 catches for 257 yards and a touchdown

The Giants released Rudolph on March 2.

Rudolph was a second-round pick by the Vikings in the 2011 NFL Draft. In 10 seasons with the Vikings, Rudolph was a Pro Bowler in 2012 and 207, posting 453 receptions for 4,488 yards and 48 touchdowns in 140 games.

Rudolph does have a link to Denver: Current Broncos general manager, George Paton, was an assistant GM with the Vikings when Minnesota drafted Rudolph.

The Broncos have little depth at tight end, with Albert Okwuegbunam, Eric Tomlinson, Andrew Beck, and Shaun Beyer currently on their roster.
