Buccaneers QB Tom Brady provides more insight into locker room conversation with Bill Belichick
Tom Brady was tight-lipped about his locker room conversation with New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick following the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' 19-17 win at Gillette Stadium on Sunday.
However, the seven-time Super Bowl champion offered slightly more insight into their meeting during his podcast, according to NFL Network's Mike Girardi.
Belichick walked into the Bucs' locker room following Sunday's game to meet with Brady and the two talked for about 20 minutes. Sources told ESPN's Mike Reiss that Belichick had reached out to arrange the meeting with Brady leading into the game.
Since Brady left New England after the 2019 season, much has been speculated about his relationship with Belichick. While meeting with reporters after Sunday's game, he said nothing he has seen has been truthful about their relationship.
Brady and Belichick spent 20 years together, winning six Super Bowl titles before the quarterback departed for Tampa Bay. The two appear to be on good terms, and Brady didn't rule out a possible return to the Patriots in some capacity in the future, saying, "I'll always be a part of this community."
For now, Brady and Belichick are focused on their respective seasons. The Bucs moved to 3-1 win Sunday's win over the Patriots, while the Patriots fell to 1-3 behind rookie quarterback Mac Jones.
