Buccaneers' Tom Brady still has something to prove to himself?

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady is a seven-time Super Bowl champion, widely viewed as the G.O.A.T. of his profession and turns 44 years old in early August. One would think he has nothing left to accomplish on his figurative bucket list.

Such a mentality wouldn't suit the living legend.

"It’s hard to walk away from something that you still feel like you can do and you wanna do," Brady explained during a hilarious appearance on "The Late Late Show With James Corden," per Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk. "So it’s not about proving it to others what you can do, it’s more about proving it to yourself. And I still feel like even though I’ll be 44 this year, I still have a chance to prove it to myself that I can still do it at 44, because I really worked to a point where I can still do it at this age."

Brady is still recovering from an offseason operation on his left knee but was reportedly his same old self in mandatory minicamp earlier this month. Perhaps it's not a stretch to suggest he can play past his 50th birthday, after all.
