The Los Angeles Chargers concluded their preseason games this past weekend, and now they have their eyes set on the regular season.

However, before that, the Chargers must decide who will be in their 53-man roster. It won't be easy once they start getting to the depth guys, and they will have until Tuesday to decide on that.

Many fringe guys on the roster may not make it, including LA's sixth-round 2023 draft pick QB Max Duggan

Duggan hasn't had a ton of opportunity to shine in the preseason due to LA" 's confidence in backup QB Easton Stick. Because of this, Chargers insider from the Athletic, Daniel Popper, believes Duggan won't crack the roster when the time comes.

In the past, Stick was that third quarterback. And I think the Chargers were concerned about Stick getting claimed on waivers if they had cut him. I do not think the same danger exists with Duggan, so I am going with two quarterbacks. The roster spot is better used in another position group. The odds of a team winning a game if they have to play a third-string emergency quarterback? Quite slim. Duggan should make it back onto the Chargers’ practice squad.

Even with the bit of time Duggan has been on the gridiron, it hasn't been the best. Against San Francisco, he went 4-for-9 for 15 yards, one touchdown, a rating of 88.7, and a completion percentage of 44.4.

Even if Duggan makes the team, the likelihood of him playing is low, but the chance to learn from Justin Herbert is something that could help his career in the long run.

According to Popper, Duggan can be on the practice squad, and if worst comes to worst, he will be on the roster.

We'll see what the Bolts decide by Tuesday noon.
