The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce share a fantastic bond. They have been playing together since 2017. Over these seven years, they have not only strengthened their relationship on the field but also developed a strong bond off-the-gridiron as well.

Showcasing this playful bond, Mahomes had some fun at the expense of Kelce. In the presser during the ‘101 Awards’ on Sunday, Mahomes took a subtle jibe at the aging Travis Kelce. Kelce recently turned 35, however, the age has no reflection on his performance on the ground.

But you can tell he wants to be part of something special, part of greatness. We’re trying to build that here and we think we’ve started it and we want to continue it. We still have a young team, other than Trav [Travis Kelce].

Mahomes said

The Kansas City Chiefs recently signed Marquise “Hollywood” Brown as their wide receiver for the next season. Mahomes was asked about him during the interview, and while expressing his thoughts about the wide receiver, he uttered these words for Kelce.

In the past few seasons, Kelce has become the primary target of Mahomes. In the absence of a proper wide receiver, Kelce started playing in an advanced role that helped the Chiefs win two more championships in the last two years. In all seriousness, even Mahomes knows that Kelce’s age hasn’t been a concern for the QB or the team.

Mahomes is elated with the Chiefs signing Marquise Brown

Patrick Mahomes couldn’t be happier with the Chiefs securing a bona fide new wide receiver. Mahomes’ suffering without a pro receiver was visible to all last season. In an attempt to satisfy his needs, the Chiefs identified Brown’s talent and signed him into the team.

I've been impressed with how hungry [Brown] is. You can tell he wants to win. Obviously he wants to do good and everybody wants to do good Mahomes said about Brown’s signing

Brown’s recent stint at the Arizona Cardinals was below par . However, the WR has proven his worth during his time at the Baltimore Ravens, where he completed more than 1,000 receiving yards in 2021. The Chiefs Nation will await Brown’s form that he showed in the Ravens’ colors and not otherwise.
