Chiefs TE Travis Kelce to star in reality dating show

Given his first career Pro Bowl invite and gaudy statistics for the Kansas City Chiefs this past season, it was clear tight end Travis Kelce’s star was on the rise. But who knew his star appeal would cross over to pop culture?

Apparently, it has. The E! network "has ordered eight episodes of Catching Kelce , a dating competition series starring Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end Travis Kelce, for premiere later this year."

A woman from each U.S. state, 50 in total, will vie for Kelce’s affection, who will be joined by friends and family to help him make his decision. Like any reality TV show these days, there will of course be a twist. While Kelce gets to decide who stays in the Los Angeles home that will serve as a base camp for the show, the women themselves decide who goes on group dates.

“On top of being a well-respected athlete, Travis has a fun-loving, over the top personality that draws people to him, and we are excited to give our viewers an up-close look at his search for love,” said Jeff Olde, EVP of programming and development at E!.

Kelce caught 72 passes for 875 yards and five touchdowns, earning a Pro Bowl trip in the process in his third NFL season. No word on whether or not he'll be abstaining from looking for love while in Hawaii this weekend.
