Chiefs working on extension with six-time Pro Bowl WR Tyreek Hill

Tyreek Hill has been as dominant as they come since entering the NFL as a fifth-round pick in the 2016 draft. The Kansas City Chiefs are reportedly working toward keeping their speedy wide receiver in the fold for years to come.

Hill has made six consecutive Pro Bowl rosters since coming into the league and was named First-Team All-Pro in 2016, 2018 and 2020. Hill led the entire NFL in yards per touch at 15.0 in 2018 and 14.0 in 2020 and is commonly thought of as one of, if not the fastest player in the game — as evidence by his nickname of "Cheetah."

The recently turned 28-year-old has earned over 100 targets and over 1,000 receiving yards four times and over 100 touches in three seasons. In 2018, Hill posted career-highs in receiving yards (1,479), yards per reception (17.0), receiving yards per game (92.4) and yards from scrimmage (1,630.)

He posted a career-best 15 receiving touchdowns in 2020 and had another electric campaign in 2021. This past season, Hill registered career-highs in targets (159), receptions (111) and receptions per game (6.5), while posting nine more receiving scores to put him over 50 for his career.

With quarterback Patrick Mahomes signing a 10-year contract extension in 2020, the Chiefs are expected to continue to potentially have one of the most dangerous passing duos for years to come.
