Chris Olave's brother responds to wide receiver's reckless driving arrest

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Chris Olave's brother, Josh, commented on his sibling's reckless driving arrest late Monday night.

It shouldn't matter if the second-year pro was on his way home or still had other errands to do and whether he was coming from a CVS, Rite Aid, Walgreens or any other pharmacy. While some of the reported details of Olave's arrest aren't quite as scary as other speeding events in recent NFL memory, it's still a serious situation.

According to ESPN's Katherine Terrell, the Saints didn't practice on Monday, but still had meetings and players were required to come to the facility in Kenner, Louisiana. Per Terrell, the team said they were aware of the incident but had no comment.

New Orleans will travel to face the Indianapolis Colts in Week 8 at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday.

In July, Minnesota Vikings rookie wideout Jordan Addison was issued a citation for speeding and reckless driving. Addison was reportedly driving his 2021 Lamborghini SUV with North Carolina dealer license plates at 140 miles per hour in a 55 miles per hour zone.

It was later revealed that the 2023 first round pick was traveling at the excessive speed due to a medical emergency involving his dog.

In November 2021, former Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Henry Ruggs III was arrested after his DUI crash that killed Las Vegas resident Tina Tintor and her dog. Ruggs had a blood-alcohol level of 0.16, more than twice the legal limit, and was driving 156 miles per hour prior to hitting Tintor's vehicle.

Ruggs was sentenced to 3-10 years in prison this past summer.
