It's being reported that the New York Giants have agreed to a contract with Indianapolis Colts  free-agent wide receiver Parris Campbell.

Jordan Schultz of The Score was the first to report the deal while NFL Network's Mike Garafolo provided that it's for one year and $3 million.

The Giants add Campbell after already trading for talented tight end Darren Waller earlier in the week. Alongside quarterback Daniel Jones and running back Saquon Barkley, New York looks to build on their recent playoff appearance.

Campbell was able to get an entire 17 games logged in last year finally. This resulted in him becoming a safety blanket for Colts quarterbacks in an offense that didn’t know what to do with him. Campbell still was able to snag 63 catches for 623 yards (both second on the team) and 3 touchdowns (tied-second).

For the Colts, this is a tough pill to swallow for their receiving corps. With Michael Pittman Jr. and Alec Pierce securing the outside parts of the field, the question now becomes, “who will be the slot receiver?”

Ashton Dulin could serve as an option, but with his inexperience, Colts general manager Chris Ballard may want to sign and draft receivers for the slot.

It will be something to monitor with how important Campbell was to a struggling offense last year. He would have also been integral for both head coach Shane Steichen and the next rookie signal-caller for Indianapolis. They will need to fill the void somehow; let's see what tricks are up Ballard’s sleeve.
