Commander guarantees end of Ravens' 'stupid record'

The Ravens have won an NFL-record 24 consecutive preseason games. They will make it 25 on Monday night with a win against the Commanders, but one Washington player does not think it is going to happen.

"I think it's a stupid record. I mean, who gives a s--- about preseason games?," guard Samuel Cosmi said. "If we beat it, great. We're gonna beat it, so there we go."

Both teams have had joint practices this past week, which may be why there is a little extra motivation to win the game.

However, some like Cosmi truly believe Baltimore's preseason win streak is stupid. But it really is an impressive feat if you think about it.

It is difficult to consistently win in the NFL and the Ravens have won every preseason game since 2016.

No, it is not the regular season, but it does prove how much depth Baltimore has on its roster. Starters are typically inactive or only play a couple of series throughout preseason action.

So, that means the Ravens continue to win with second, third and fourth-stringers. It also supports the idea that head coach John Harbaugh and his staff are some of the best in the league since they continue to win with a team that has a large percentage of players who will not be on NFL rosters come September.

Cosmi may not care, but a win over Baltimore will not be easy as the team has proved to be a tough out in the preseason.

The Ravens are the favorites to win and will surely have some words for Cosmi if they do extend their streak to 25 come Monday night.
