All eyes were on Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott as OTAs began at The Star under new head coach Brian Schottenheimer, and we were pleasantly surprised.

With Dak returning from a hamstring injury that was partially torn off the bone last season, it wasn't known if he would partake in any of OTAs, and in the portion of practice available to the media, Prescott was involved...a lot.

Given that this was a voluntary portion of the offseason work, the fact that Dak wasn't only on the field but also participating shows he is in a good spot with his recovery.

“Pretty much can do it all, feel good,” Prescott said. “I think I'm just not cleared for contact, which we've got a while for that anyway, so I'm out there in the team activities, feel good just trying to obviously stay that way, feeling great.”

Keeping Dak healthy is a big key here, and we imagine that the Cowboys and the coaching staff will play the cautious game with Prescott, but it is a good sign that he's on the field and doing some work.

Often rolling out several times, Dak didn't appear to be limited by what was being asked of him per Mike Fisher of CowboysCountry.com, who attended practice .. with Dak weapons in CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens and especially KaVontae Turpin also doing their thing.

Prescott is in a good space with his recovery, but we know how volatile hamstring injuries can be, so we don't think this OTA effort will be a regular occurrence until training camp in Oxnard.

Dak is feeling good and confident in his body. Now, the big key is staying that way for the entire offseason.
