Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott being sued over alleged dog attack
It certainly sounds like Ezekiel Elliott may want to get a handle on his dogs before allowing guests into his home. The Dallas Cowboys running back is being sued by a pool cleaner who alleges Elliott's dogs violently attacked her on March 11, according to TMZ.
The woman is claiming she required surgery and also will be scarred for life after Elliott's Rottweiler bit and dragged her while his two bulldogs began attacking her legs. The dogs bit her multiple times and after she freed herself from their clutches went immediately to the emergency room in pain.
In the lawsuit, the woman claims she's still having issues with her surgically repaired arm and suffers from both physical and mental pain as a result of the attack.
According to TMZ, she's asking for over $200,000 in damages in the suit but less than $1 million.
This incident reportedly isn't the first time Elliott's dogs have attacked someone. The woman claims someone else from the same company she works for also was bitten by his Rottweiler.
Police reportedly did respond to the incident at Elliott's Frisco, Texas home in March, but charges weren't filed.
Elliott's attorney Frank Salzano claims the Cowboys star did nothing wrong, and that he'll be "vigorously" defending the lawsuit.
The 24-year-old is infatuated with his three dogs, and has even created an Instagram page for them which has over 39,000 followers. They seem relatively harmless, though pictures can be deceiving.
A similar incident involving Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott occurred last year, too. Prescott dealt with allegations that his dog violently attacked someone in February of 2019, so this seems to be a bit of a common theme in Dallas... at least with famous athletes.
