There are many examples of mainstream media members saying unintelligent things. There was the latest Adam Schefter gaff, which is just one in a series of bad reports from ESPN. Colin Cowherd, the controversial radio host, has never shied away from slandering the Packers or Aaron Rodgers in the past. This has led him, too, to say some rather interesting things that challenge basic human reason. He was at it again earlier on Monday, when he twisted the words spoken by Mark Murphy in an interview with Tom Grossi:

What Mark Murphy Actually Said

In his interview with Tom Grossi, Mark Murphy addressed many things, from Jordan Love’s future to how competitive the team will be in 2022. In past statements, Murphy has also stated that this year’s draft would be an interesting one. In other words, Murphy stated that the Packers are doing everything that they can to build a winning team around Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers, of course, signed a record-extension earlier this offseason.

What Colin Cowherd Said

Colin Cowherd took this interview and completely twisted Mark Murphy’s words. Instead of taking what Murphy said at face value, Cowherd decided to slander the Green Bay Packers organization. He claimed that the Packers were tanking on purpose in an effort to make Aaron Rodgers look bad. Why would they do this? To get back at him for what he said about the organization last offseason, of course!

This is complete and utter nonsense on the part of Colin Cowherd. Aaron Rodgers has repeatedly stated how great his current relationship is with the Packers front office. Even with the loss of Davante Adams and other offensive pieces, the Packers still boast a Super Bowl caliber offense and a four-time MVP at quarterback. In addition, Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon were the only running back duo that saw each member eclipse 1,000 yards from scrimmage last season. The Packers bad on purpose? As is they have a team that could at the very least win the NFC North.

Just another reason not to listen to Colin Cowherd.
