Dak Prescott 'convinced' Cowboys can win a Super Bowl with his impressive play

Dak Prescott told The Athletic's Jon Machota "he was convinced" the Cowboys were Super Bowl contenders before they squashed the Vikings 40-3 on Sunday.

Perhaps Prescott feels confident because he's rejuvenated a potent offense.

According to CBS Sports, the Cowboys have the league's most points per game since 2020 when Prescott is their starting quarterback, even more than Patrick Mahomes (Cheifs) and Josh Allen (Bills).

His performance against the Vikings demonstrated his offensive value. He threw two touchdowns, posted a 139.3 passer rating, and completed 88 percent of his passes.

Per Clarence Hill Jr. of the Forth Worth Star-Telegram, it was the second-highest completion percentage in his career.

"I think you saw vintage Dak," said owner Jerry Jones in a postgame news conference. "You saw the Dak that I hope to see for 10 more years at least."

Although it's hard to predict what could happen in 10 years, strong Prescott performances are pivotal in a championship chase.

The Cowboys averaged 35 points per game since Prescott returned from his right thumb fracture in Week 1. Consequently, the offense rebounded.

He recorded a 107.7 passer rating, well above the league average, and eight touchdowns during the timeframe, solidifying himself as a crucial piece within a potential championship puzzle.
