The Dallas Cowboys have had an underwhelming start to free agency, losing starting running back Tony Pollard, center, Tyler Biadasz, defensive end, Dorance Armstrong – and subsquently releasing Michael Gallup after not finding a trade partner for him.

Having made veteran middle linebacker Eric Kendricks their only signing so far, even Cowboys EVP, Stephen Jones, has empathized with fan frustration at the reigning NFC East champions.

It seems like it will end up being one linebacker in, one out, as the Cowboys are now releasing one of their longest tenured players on their roster, per Todd Archer.

Dallas Cowboys Looking Depleted After First Rounds Of Free Agency

Although the ‘Boys still have the backbone of their team in quarterback, Dak Prescott, Defensive Player of the Year nominee, Micah Parsons, and All Pro corner, Trevon Diggs, many of the more under-the-radar contributors have left for pastures green in the last couple of days.

Particularly at offensive live, where Dallas may well enter next season without possible future Hall of Famer, Tyron Smith, alongside already departed center, Biadasz.

Ironically (at least for the purposes of this article), inside linebacker is actually one of the areas of least concern for Cowboys, having Kendricks alongside Markquese Bell, Damone Clark and DeMarvion Overshown.

Let’s see how the defense manages in a new era for the Dallas Cowboys sans Dan Quinn.
