Dalvin Cook cleared waivers on Thursday and has joined a new team.

Cook has joined the Baltimore Ravens practice squad. Cook was previously with the New York Jets but was waived by them so he could have a chance to join a contender.

The Ravens have running backs Gus Edwards, Justice Hill and Melvin Gordon on their 53-man roster. But they will now be able to evaluate Cook over the next few weeks before deciding if they want to activate him for the playoffs.

The Ravens have earned the No. 1 seed in the AFC. They will play against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Saturday in Week 18, then have wild-card weekend off. Baltimore won’t play again until the following weekend.

Cook had 67 rushes for 214 yards over 15 games with the Jets this season. He also logged 15 catches for 78 yards. Cook did not play a single snap during the Jets’ Week 17 loss to the Cleveland Browns, which led him and the Jets to part ways.
