Damar Hamlin back in Bills facility ahead of playoff game

Just weeks after collapsing on the football field, Damar Hamlin is back in the Buffalo Bills' facility ahead of the team’s playoff game against the Bengals.

The news will likely serve as a catalyst for Bills players and fans as the team prepares to host Cincinnati -- the same team Buffalo was playing when Hamlin collapsed after making a tackle Jan. 2.

Doctors in Cincinnati helped saved the safety's life, and Hamlin left Ohio days ago to continue his rehabilitation in Buffalo.

"Damar is in the building ...almost daily, so that's good news. As he continues to improve that certainly helps," Buffalo head coach Sean McDermott said, according to WGRZ Buffalo.

It hasn’t been announced if Hamlin will be at the playoff game Sunday, the station reported. Hamlin’s return to his team could serve as an emotional boost.

Hamlin’s story has capitivated the country. A GoFundMe campaign for his charity saw a spike in donations after the incident. It has raised nearly $9 million from almost 250,000 donors.

As he recovers, Hamlin has posted pictures of murals and Buffalo Bills highlights on social media.
