Davante Adams on 'Madden' rating: 'I'm expecting my 99 in a few weeks'

Green Bay Packers star Davante Adams has been one of, if not the best, wide receivers in the NFL this season. Now that we're about halfway through the 2020 campaign, Adams is expecting his overall rating in EA Sports "Madden 21" to rise.

According to Bleacher Report, Adams said on Instagram that he's "expecting my 99 in a few weeks," when referring to his "Madden 21" rating.

As of Week 9, Adams' overall rating is 97, making him the third-highest-rated wide receiver behind New Orleans Saints' Michael Thomas (99) and Arizona Cardinals' DeAndre Hopkins (98).

When looking at the stat sheet this season, it won't be surprising if we see Adams surpass both Thomas and Hopkins in the ratings. In six games this year, Adams has 53 receptions for 675 yards and eight touchdowns.

His numbers aren't even comparable to Thomas, who has played just two games this season, and Hopkins, who has played two more games than Adams has. Hopkins has 60 receptions for 734 yards and three touchdowns on the season.

With the Packers taking on the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, Adams surely will add to the stat sheet in a big way, and will likely earn himself a higher "Madden" rating.
