The Denver Broncos released receiver Lil’Jordan Humphrey Wednesday, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
Humphrey, the fifth-year pro, hauled in four receptions for 26 yards and a score in five games this season. The 25-year-old spent three seasons with the New Orleans Saints (2019-21) and one with the New England Patriots (2022) before the Broncos signed him to their active roster this past March. In total, Humphrey has suited up in 29 games, coming down with 22 catches for 341 yards and four touchdowns.
Signed by New Orleans as an undrafted free agent in 2019, Humphrey was an accomplished receiver during his time in college at Texas. Humphrey broke out in his junior year to record 86 catches for 1,176 yards and nine touchdowns before making the jump to the NFL. He helped Texas to a 10-4 season and Sugar Bowl victory over Georgia in which he had seven catches for 67 yards.

The Broncos made additional moves this week, notably designating second-year tight end Greg Dulcich to return from injured reserve. Dulcich, Denver’s third-round selection in the 2022 NFL Draft out of UCLA, has been sidelined since Week 1 with a hamstring injury. He stood out last season, hauling in 33 receptions for 411 yards and two scores in 10 games.
Dulcich remains on injured reserve and Denver has a 21-day period in which they must activate him to the 53-man roster. Head coach Sean Payton didn’t rule out Dulcich for Thursday’s Week 6 road tilt against the Kansas City Chiefs. Denver officially listed him as questionable on Wednesday’s injury report.
“He’s out here moving around,” Payton said Tuesday. “… I don’t want to guess relative to this week’s game, but he’s close.”
